Saturday was a long day, but lots of fun! We had a great morning shift at Artisans, with quite a few people coming in and some sales ... I think spring fever is starting to hit and it was a beautiful weekend day, which gets the sap rising in local folks and cabin fever starts them out looking for sunshine!
There's an art exhibit at the Cortez Cultural Center consisting entirely of works produced by Kim Russell's art students in the Mancos schools. There's three walls of works, but the two that really caught my eye were a mask and a bark painting.
We didn't stop by there yesterday (I took the pictures Friday) but we did go to the Cortez Rec Center for the first time in too long and felt really good after walking, exercising and swimming (and Tom is two pounds lighter today!).
We also started back on our diet yesterday, so last night at the library's update meeting they had the most scrumptious array of cookies I think I've ever seen at an event! Aaargh!
The project seems to be coming along well, although they've had to break it into two phases. Still raising money for the second phase, and we were pleased to see a nice display of the cards we have produced for the Mancos Friends of the Library, giving them the copyrights to those images for whatever use they may wish.
Off to Meeting in Durango, then Tom will see if his idea for parking the Casita next to the carport (where it can be plugged in, etc.) is workable. tv
